Meeting a Colleague

A: Hey, you're the new guy, right?

B: Yeah, I started this week.

A: Welcome aboard. You relocated from the south, if I heard correctly?

B: Well, you're both right and wrong. I relocated from the south, but South America, not the southern US.

A: Ah, there's a big difference I'm sure.

B: I haven't met many people from the American south, but I suspect there aren't many similarities.

A: What about here? Do you find it hard to adjust to the West coast?

B: There are definitely some cultural changes I have to get used to. But I love the weather.

A: Really? People think it rains too much.

B: Yes, but the rain is the reason the land is so beautiful.

A: Very true. Welcome to America.
